Bill’s one of the gretest contemporary journalists in America. He’s an intelligent patriot.
Elizabeth Edwards is a gracious, intelligent, and lovely lady – and a terrific writer.
You can see my story about how I met her HERE.
I met Chris when he played at the Empire Brewing Company in Syracuse NY back in 1999. (Seven years? I can hardly believe it was that long ago). I was introduced to Chris by Dan McLoughlin, a fellow member of Chris’ Boston-based band The Push Stars. Before I’d seen them play live, I’d bought their CDs and enjoyed their music, so I was thrilled to be seeing them. Finding out those talented musicians were three of the nicest fellows you’d ever want to meet was icing on the cake. (Today there are four – drummer Ryan MacMillan and newest addition Scott Leslie).
Chris has gone out on solo tours and recorded solo CDs while still remaining a member of the Push Stars. If he comes anywhere near your town, please do yourself a favor and go and see him play. He’s one of my favorites.
Over the years, I have realized that part of the reason that Chris is such a special person is due to his wonderful family..people that I have come to care very much about over the years. I am so glad that fate drew us together, because I do not feel like a fan when I go to see Chris play; I am made to feel that I am a family member.
I thank the Trappers for “adopting” me. Life is sweeter for having known them. ;)
I am a great admirer of the ideas and leadership of both Senator Edwards and his wife Elizabeth. Senator Edwards’ work to alleviate poverty, especially his efforts to get young people involved, is honorable and much needed in a nation whose policies have too long ignored the poorest among us. Rather than slapping figurative bandaids on the problem, Senator Edwards is working, through the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity at UNC-Chapel Hill, to create bridges out of poverty.
UPDATE: I met Senator Edwards with a group of several other bloggers in Concord, N.C. in October, 2006. More later…
I love every film in which he’s played a role. I also happen to have a wicked crush on him. ;)
